Ashish’s first journey to Tomorrowland
For the past five years, Ashish has been teaching music at the Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School in Sekha, Nepal. Together with our partner Cunina, the school was founded ten years ago to give children a place where they can discover and develop their talents through music, dance and the arts.
This weekend, Ashish travelled to Belgium for the very first time to experience the magic of Tomorrowland.
"Ever since I became a music teacher, it has been my dream to visit Tomorrowland," he says. "I wanted to see with my own eyes how music connects people from different cultures. The journey took me more than a day, but it was worth every minute."
During his stay, Ashish captured countless photos and videos to share with his students back home.
"I can't wait to tell them all the stories when I return. I want to show them that dreams really can come true. My message to them is simple: dream big."
Leaving Nepal for the first time was a journey full of unforgettable firsts. He saw the sea for the very first time during a visit to Ostend, tasted Belgian fries and mussels, and discovered many new flavours.
But nothing compared to the moment he stood in front of the Tomorrowland Mainstage.
"There are no words to describe how I felt. I couldn't believe my eyes. And then I realised there were even more stages to discover. I've only seen part of Tomorrowland, so maybe I'll have to come back next year."
